FAQs
How long does it take to receive my order?
We make to order. Typically, it takes about 5 working days from start to finish to make a standard model from our shop. This allows glues and fixatives time to dry, so that you receive everything in perfect condition. Then it’s packaged up and on its way to you.
What are the models made of?
The initial model (the master model) is made of a combination of biodegradable materials using 3d printing and traditional hand model making techniques. We spend a lot of time refining this initial model to ensure it’s as good as it can ever be. Then, we make a silicone mould of this model. In this mould we pour our bio-resin/plaster material to make the final piece. This material has a beautiful weight (unlike a normal plaster), making it feel like stone to the touch, with beautiful lustrous qualities. We then attach acrylic pieces to add accents where appropriate.
Where do you get your supplies from?
We strongly advocate Australian-made materials and Australian suppliers for items not made in Australia. Our timber is sustainably sourced, our small resin 3d printed pieces are made from resin made in Sydney, and everything is sourced locally where possible.
Where are you located? Can I visit?
We are based in Southern Sydney. We are not a storefront, just a small shed for making. We can arrange contactless pickup, but due to the circumstances, in person meetings are not available. If you have any queries or questions, be sure to get in touch on the contact page.
Do you offer custom-framing options?
We have a limited number of framing options available online, but be sure to send a message if you have a particular query. Due to the depth of the models, we have to make all our picture frame mouldings from scratch, as there are no commercially-made products available. Victorian Ash/Tasmanian Oak frames are an option we are exploring.
